Layer: Potential GWDTE (ID: 8)

Parent Layer: Groundwater Dependent Terrestrial Ecosystems

Name: Potential GWDTE

Display Field: File_Name

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description:

GWDTE- This field classifies the polygons potential GWDTE status based solely upon the potential groundwater dependency classifications as set out within SEPA (2014) guidance. The potential GWDTE sensitivity of each polygon containing a potential GWDTE is classified on a 4-tier approach as follows: ‘Highly – dominant’ where potential high GWDTE(s) dominate the polygon, ‘Highly - sub-dominant’ where potential high GWDTE(s) make up a sub-dominant percentage cover of the polygon, ‘Moderately – dominant’ where potential moderate GWDTE(s) dominate the polygon and no potential high GWDTEs are present and ‘Moderately - sub-dominant’ where potential moderate GWDTE(s) make up a sub-dominant percentage cover of the polygon and no potential high GWDTEs are present. Where a potential high GWDTE exists in a polygon it out ranks any potential moderate GWDTE communities within that same polygons.

AnnexI_1– Where a Habitats Directive Annex I habitat type exists within the polygon it is given the corresponding Annex I habitat reference code.
